Phone Setup Help

Everything you need to know about connecting and setting up your Android phones with ShadowPhone.

Getting Started

To connect a phone, you need a USB data cable and USB debugging enabled on your Android device. Plug the phone into your computer and ShadowPhone Desktop will automatically detect it.

Supported Devices

ShadowPhone works with any Android device running Android 7.0 or higher. We recommend Google Pixel 6 or newer for the best experience, especially if you plan to use GrapheneOS for multi-profile support.

Enabling USB Debugging

Go to Settings > About Phone and tap Build Number 7 times to enable Developer Options. Then go to Settings > System > Developer Options and enable USB Debugging. When you connect the phone, tap Allow on the authorization prompt.

Multiple Phone Setup

Use a powered USB hub to connect multiple phones. We recommend hubs with individual port switches for easy management. Each phone appears as a separate device in the Phones tab.

Common Issues

If your phone is not detected: try a different cable (charge-only cables will not work), try a different USB port, check that USB debugging is enabled, or restart ADB from the ShadowPhone settings.
