Proxy Configuration

Configure supported proxy routing and understand how it differs from GrapheneOS profile isolation.

Why Use Proxies?

A proxy can route traffic through an operator-selected endpoint when a workflow requires it. GrapheneOS profiles on one phone normally share that phone's network path; a profile does not automatically receive a separate proxy or public IP.

Proxy Types

Mobile, residential, and datacenter providers differ in ownership, consent, location accuracy, reputation, rotation, and support. A classification label does not guarantee trust or an account outcome.

Configuration

Go to Settings > Proxies > Add Proxy. Enter the proxy details (host, port, username, password) and assign it to specific accounts. ShadowPhone routes the phone's Instagram traffic through the proxy.

Proxy Rotation

Some providers rotate endpoints while others offer sticky sessions. Instagram does not publish a required rotation schedule. Avoid unnecessary location changes during active sessions and understand the provider's behavior before use.
