Proxy Configuration
Set up proxies for your accounts to ensure unique IP addresses and minimize detection risk.
Why Use Proxies?
If you are running multiple accounts from the same network, Instagram may flag them for sharing an IP address. Proxies give each account (or group of accounts) a unique IP, making them appear to be on separate networks.
Proxy Types
We recommend mobile proxies (4G/5G) as they use real carrier IPs that Instagram trusts. Residential proxies are the next best option. Avoid datacenter proxies as Instagram actively blocks them.
Configuration
Go to Settings > Proxies > Add Proxy. Enter the proxy details (host, port, username, password) and assign it to specific accounts. ShadowPhone routes the phone's Instagram traffic through the proxy.
Proxy Rotation
Some proxy providers offer rotating IPs. We recommend sticky sessions (same IP for extended periods) rather than rotating proxies, as frequent IP changes can trigger Instagram's security.
