Workflow Basics
Understand how workflows work in ShadowPhone and learn the building blocks for creating powerful automation sequences.
What Is a Workflow?
A workflow is a sequence of automated modules that run one after another on a connected phone. Think of it as a daily routine for your Instagram account: warm up, engage, post, rest, engage again.
Workflow Components
Every workflow consists of: Steps (individual modules like Follow, Engage, Post), Delays (wait times between steps), Conditions (optional logic like 'only if less than X follows today'), and a Schedule (when the workflow runs).
Module Types
Available modules include: Post Story, Post Feed, Engage (like/comment), Follow, DM, Browse (passive scrolling for warmth), and Profile View (visit target profiles). Each module has its own settings.
Execution Flow
When a workflow starts, it goes through each step in order. If a step encounters an error or rate limit, it can either retry, skip, or pause the entire workflow depending on your configuration.
Best Practices
Start with simple 2-3 step workflows and expand as you get comfortable. Always include delays between steps. Mix action types for natural behavior. Schedule workflows during peak hours for your target audience.
